The Domaine Joël Delaunay stands out for its privileged location in the Touraine AOC, with 23 hectares of vines flourishing on the hillsides bordering the Cher. This idyllic setting is not only conducive to wine-growing, but also invites you to discover the Touraine architecture of the surrounding villages, after an enriching tasting of the estate's vintages.

A family history rooted in tradition and innovation

The estate's history began with Joël Delaunay, who started selling bottled wine in 1970, marking the start of a new era for the estate. In 2003, his son Thierry and his wife Marie took over, carrying on the family tradition while adding their own touch of innovation and passion. Today, the estate covers 47 hectares and enjoys a solid reputation, enhanced by a dynamic trading business.

Thierry and Marie Delaunay, guardians of this heritage, joined the estate in 1998, officially taking over in 2003. Their management of the estate reflects an unwavering respect for the terroir and the environment, ensuring that each bottle carries the essence of their passion, innovation and family tradition. This dedication has helped the wines of Domaine Joël Delaunay gain recognition both nationally and internationally.

The estate's commitment to sustainable agriculture was further strengthened in 2010, with the acquisition of 3 hectares of organically farmed vines. This expansion has enabled the estate to offer an organic Touraine rosé and an organic Touraine red, demonstrating their commitment to environmentally-friendly viticulture.

Eco developments and sustainable investment

In a spirit of mutual trust with Arsilac, in 2023 the estate acquired 8 second-hand stainless steel vats, each with an impressive capacity of 377 hectolitres. This move demonstrates not only the estate's ability to anticipate its equipment needs strategically, but also its commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency in winemaking.

The demand for the equipment, perfectly anticipated by the estate's team, enabled delivery and installation in early June, just in time to complete cellar preparations before the start of the 2023 harvest. This impeccable timing underlines the importance of effective planning and coordination in the wine industry, where every detail counts to ensure the best possible quality of wine.

Arsilac warmly thanks Domaine Joël Delaunay for their confidence in this investment project. The sharing of images of the unloading, installation and optimisation of the installation of the stainless steel tanks by the estate was particularly appreciated. These captured moments illustrate the complexity and precision required for such projects, while highlighting the expertise and professionalism of the teams involved.
